Back when I read books and stuff
“The advent of the internet has served only to further complicate the already unfixed notion of autobiography and has expanded the realm of life-writing and self-representational text with the introduction of hyper-linking and multi-media approaches to narrative. ” Rosenberg, circa 2007. Back when I read books and stuff. Now I’m watching 90210.

Best street car ride ever
Off to work this morning, on the streetcar and this dude starts ranting and raving. On the long big streetcar, jam fucking packed with morning commuters. “When I’m chilling with Lucy and she thinks we are just friends doing hood rat things but in reality I technically own her makes me think Its kinda fucked up.”
(ps. we sent Lucy away for proper training…)
Hello, my name is...

Thing is, at Aveda, if someone working there already has the same name as you, you have to CHANGE YOUR NAME for work. Can you believe it? Anyway, my amazing friend has the bad luck of having the same name as one of the instructors. So she had to choose a new name. If you had to chose a new...
Too Much
So, when you have a life like I have (working mostly sporadically at a restaurant, freelance work during the day, mostly just maintaining the rest of the time), you can plan your life to never get too hectic. But yesterday seemed like so much happened. And it kinda stressed me out. But in a good way. Welcome to the real world, Becs.
Morning:
-Got a call for a second interview
-Did some...

I wrote my thesis (on new media, fame and media democracy) what feels like ages ago. Whenever I look over it, I’m actually surprised I wrote it and how much of it seems quite relevant and spot on in terms of what is happening with media today (pat on my back). The concept that mainstream news and media is no longer in the hands of the elite, but is becoming rapidly democratized is made...
